Part 1.
Another one of those fairly normal Belongas days where eventhough we see these amazing creatures almost every day and only have a few main divesites that everyone wants to do...we still can't edit 3 dives into just one video! 🙂🙏❤️

Belongas is special, but don't just take our word for it... even if there isn't really anyone else to ask!!🤙🤣🙏

Belongas, June 3rd 2026 -
Although we've been seeing mobulas already this year since last month, what better way to celebrate our oceans and jump our videos back to what's happening now than by spending it with this fever of devil rays! 🥳
Jam-packed 'Cathedral' , plenty of action at the 'Magnet' and now that we've seen all our big favourites already this season, we're super excited to see what the rest of the year will bring!

Deep mission with Steffen and Niek followed by some more gentle off-gassing with the Seakraits, sharks and sweet lips on the Southside of Gili Sarang.

We don't get to choose which side of the 'Manta Pot' that we get to dive because it's all down to nature and how strong the current is in either direction! 🙂
Reverse current means a different swim through, stunning coral gardens as far as you can see and eventhough the mantas spread out for cleaning or feed shallower at the surface, you often get that very strange, awesome feeling that you are still being followed!!! 🤣❤️🤙

Come rain or shine, good Vis or bad... Claudie, MJ, Junie and Idham always bring sunshine on the boat and the animals love them too, but often so does the current, waves, wind and weather and they still keep coming back for more!

Some of our favourite buddies - MJ, Claudie, Junie, Idham and Vincent Chew ...back again, picking a favourite rock, clinging on and letting the mantas do the rest!

Pt. 1 - It's always going to be more expensive for humans to dive at the 'Manta Pot' because we have to get a speed boat to get there and use all the gear and tanks, but on some of the dives there like this one, it actually feels more like there's a manta guide swimming the mantas over from Penida and farther afield just to come and look at the strange humans hiding by the ledge or hanging onto the bottom!🤣
Either way.... It's an amazing interaction and just not like many other places and especially because in that location...the humans are incredibly rare and way fewer than the sharks and mantas!!! 🙂🙏❤️🤙

Pt. 2 - So when we made the write-up from the last video, I mentioned 12+ mantas and 15+ WTs, but that was before we realised that we'd had to split the manta footage and make 2 videos again from the same day!😅😳❤️
It's really not a bad problem to have, but with at least 18 individuals and 8 WTs in the same section of footage , we just definitely undercut the numbers!!!🙂
Amazing dive... amazing creatures and was also better than even WE first thought! 🤣🙏🤙
