Massive congratulations to and on absolutely smashing their TDI JJ-CCR Air Diluent nd Helitrox certifications to 45m!
Outstanding focus, discipline, and performance throughout the course. Great teamwork, solid control, excellent awareness, and a real commitment to doing things properly.
This is where the real adventure begins.
Proud moment as an instructor watching divers build the mindset and skills needed for safe, confident CCR diving.
Welcome to the next level of exploration.

Huge congratulations to on passing her TDI Advanced Mixed Gas 100m course on the . An outstanding achievement.
Yana put in serious work, stayed focused, and applied every piece of feedback. She earned this.
It was also a pleasure working with Chas, who came in honest about where he was and committed fully to the MOD 3 and two weeks of training dives. He put in the work—refining technique, procedures, configuration, and mindset alongside Yana.
The result speaks for itself: two solid CCR divers, operating as a team.
This is why I teach.
Special thanks to ._.chris and for hosting and all the support.
See you all next year !!

What started as an idea two years ago — and took a year to actually build — finally became a reality. The first in my Dive To Survive series: DTS Gas Guru is officially live on the App Store and Google Play.
It started in the classroom. My students were working out the maximum safe operating depth of a gas mix, but with multiple limits to consider simultaneously — oxygen partial pressure, gas density, and narcotic value — it gets complicated fast. The tools available couldn't bring it all together cleanly, so I built one that could.
This app has been a labour of love, designed specifically for technical divers, CCR rebreather divers, gas blenders, students and instructors who need accurate, reliable gas calculations in the water and on the dive deck.
We're now on v1.5 and it wouldn't have got here without an incredible group of people who gave their time, their expertise, and their honest feedback along the way — technical divers, rebreather divers, instructors and blenders from all over the world, across every agency and nationality. The technical diving community can have a reputation for being cliquey, but this journey has genuinely renewed my faith in the industry. And some I've never met, from all walks of life, all corners of the world, all came together to help make this better. I couldn't be more grateful. You know who you are. Thank you. Without you, this wouldn't exist.
To everyone who tested, broke it, suggested improvements, and kept pushing me — this is for you. 🙏

Plan it. Trust it. Dive it. 🤿

🎉 Huge congratulations to Cassius, Tom, Sherwin, Eliza and Matvey on completing your TDI Instructor Crossover and Nitrox Instructor Course! 🙌🏼
This wasn't your standard 2-day course — we spent 3 full days together building the most solid foundation possible, because these guys aren't just stopping at Nitrox. They're on the path to becoming fully fledged technical diving instructors, and that deserves the right start.
5 nationalities. One incredible team. Excellent mindset across the board, they worked hard, they gelled, and they all passed with flying colours. 🌍
We also made The Human Diver Human Factors in Diving online course compulsory — and it's staying that way for all instructor courses going forward. If you're serious about technical instruction, understanding human factors isn't optional.
At Black Water Tek, we're committed to laying the best possible foundation for the next generation of technical diving instructors. These guys are proof of what that looks like. 💪
Tag your teammates below and share this — you earned it! 🤿

One of the last courses of 2025 was a spectacular TDI Extended Range to 55m! Congratulations to all the students — Ben, Jules, and Tom — for a superb job rising to the challenge of deep air diving with multiple tanks and multiple failure scenarios.
Special congratulations also go to ! Lea has been working tirelessly for the past six months on her technical diving instructor internship, which culminated in her passing the TDI Extended Range Instructor course with flying colors. She is already proving to be an inspiration for women looking to get into tech diving.
I’m so proud of everyone here — it’s been a real pleasure and a lot of fun!

A slightly delayed posting of the amazing (Simona) celebrating her latest and well-deserved certification! We had two weeks together, starting with shallow air-diluent dives and skill refreshers. As always with all MOD 2 trimix CCR courses, we incorporated the course from online essentials.
Simona approached each dive with focus, took feedback constructively, and showed real perseverance in applying it when it mattered. A huge congratulations — you truly earned this. It’s been a pleasure working with you.
Special thanks again to all the wonderful staff for hosting us 🙏

It’s been a busy and rewarding month here at Black Water Tek, training the next generation of CCR divers.
First up, a huge congratulations to Hugo (first photo) for an outstanding two weeks of training, successfully earning his TDI Air Diluent Decompression and TDI Helitrox CCR certifications on the JJ-CCR.
As always, we integrated throughout the course, followed by several post-cert dives to enjoy the unit and start building valuable hours on the loop.
The second photo is a slightly belated but very well-deserved shout-out to our friend , who achieved the same CCR rating during Part 2 of his Technical Diving Internship. On top of that, he also completed his TDI Nitrox Instructor and TDI Intro to Tech Instructor certifications — an incredible month of progression.
Well done, chaps. Solid effort all round and a pleasure to train with you both.
A special thanks, as always, to for hosting and providing top-tier logistics.

🎉 Congratulations to two new TDI Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures Divers! 🎉
This week at Blue Marlin Dive Gili Trawangan, we’re proud to see Rai and Ben successfully complete their TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures courses — a major step forward in their technical diving journey.
Rai, who only last week became a TDI Nitrox Instructor, and Ben both demonstrated exceptional commitment, focus, and composure throughout a demanding program and challenging conditions. From maintaining consistent trim the moment they entered the water, to executing blue water ascents from 45m with no visual reference and managing simulated failures with precision — their performance sets a high standard for aspiring technical divers.
A huge congratulations to both. Solid work, well-earned certifications, and a reminder that true progress comes through discipline, teamwork, and passion for the craft. 👏
