Past the campsite, the trail opens up to a ridge walk before reaching the summit. A perfect trail for beginners and those looking to explore the outdoors. 🌿

That’s DASEMULAO.

Damas → Semilya → Tapulao.

We started from the mountains of Damas, pushed through Semilya, traversed Tapulao and kept going until there was nothing left to cross. Three mountain ranges, one relentless traverse across Tarlac and Zambales.

No shortcuts. No rescue. No surrender.

Sleep was a luxury we could barely afford. Our longest rest was just two hours, wrapped in nothing but emergency blankets on the mountain floor. No tents. No sleeping bags. We carried only what a dayhike requires, because DASEMULAO wasn’t meant to be comfortable. It was meant to be finished.

The rest? Headlamps in the dark. Cramping legs. Summits that led to more summits. Descents that led to more climbs.

And in the middle of all that, one of us was fighting fever and colds the entire way.

That humbled us more than any summit ever could.

The trail didn’t care how tired we were. It just demanded we keep moving.

And we did.

Not because it was easy but because no one was willing to leave anyone behind. When the body wanted to stop, the team kept us going. When sleep kept calling, we took one more step anyway.

That’s what got us through.

When we finally walked out of the mountains of Tarlac and Zambales, we weren’t just tired.

We were proof that limits are farther than they appear.
