Almost two decades of super-lightweight brake design without compromise has led Ciamillo down the path toward the new Lekki8. Lekki is Polish for light weight and this newest model represents the 8th model of lightweight road calipers designed by Ted Ciamillo. These new calipers are made from Grade 5 titanium, 7075 aluminum, and carbon fiber. These material optimized parts in the new Lekki8 allow not only the lightest road caliper ever made but also the smallest. The compact architecture provides an inherent stoutness and rigidity as well as improved aerodynamics. Clearance under the arms allows for generous clearance for large tires.

Lekki8 high-performance super-lightweight road calipers with black inner arms. Includes Front brake and rear brake with padholders and full titanium hardware. Brakes come with your choice of Campagnolo or Shimano compatible padholder geometry - * Does not include pads.

Disc brake technology offers improved braking performance for amateur and professional road cyclists alike. Carbon fiber braking surfaces are a major design constraint that limits weight savings and rim design. By removing the constraints of a braking surface, we can completely rethink the shape of the rim. The SES 5.6 Disc features patented SES rim curvature but has been further optimized for disc brakes. Additionally, the SES 5.6 Disc carbon fiber clinchers and tubulars are very lightweight because the material used for heat management can been eliminated. This allows for a more structurally efficient and impact resistant rim. Finally, the SES 5.6 Disc carbon clincher is road tubeless compatible and can still be run with standard inner tubes and tires. Like the current generation SES carbon clinchers and tubulars, the 5.6 Disc has been aerodynamically optimized around 25mm tires.

WHY DID WE MAKE IT?
Since the introduction of the original SES 3.4 we've implemented new design concepts across the SES lineup that result in a faster wheel and improved ride experience. The SES 3.4 features road tubeless compatibility, 25mm tire optimization, molded carbon brake track technology, and optimized SES aero rim shaping to ensure maximum efficiencies for a shallow aero wheel. Equally at home in the mountains as in the valleys, the SES 3.4 is the most versatile Smart ENVE System aero wheel.

Since its introduction in 2009, the Smart ENVE System 3.4 has established itself as ENVE�s most versatile and consequently most popular carbon fiber aero road wheelset amongst road cyclists of all abilities. As such, it�s no surprise that ENVE�s first stage victory at the Tour de France was delivered by Steve Cummings aboard the SES 3.4. The SES 3.4 is wider than its predecessor (29mm wide external, 21mm internal) to improve rolling resistance and improve aerodynamics for use with 25mm tires. In addition to added width, the versatile and reliable nature of the SES 3.4 has been augmented by incorporating road tubeless tire compatibility. Road tubeless compatibility means improved rolling resistance, comfort, traction, and a reduced propensity for flat tires. Like all SES wheel models, the SES 3.4 features dissimilar rim shapes and geometries between front and back wheels to maximize aerodynamic efficiency and rideability in variable wind and weather conditions. The front rim is 38mm deep and shallower than the rear rim to aid in cross wind stability while rear rim is 42mm deep and therefore improves overall airflow attachment.
