The All Ireland Minor and Under 20 trophies will be in Beara this week , they are in Glengarriff today and this is the schedule on Thursday & Friday.

‪Congratulations to Urhan on winning the Beara minor football championship defeating Caha Óg (Adrigole / Glengarriff )5-9 to 2-4 with the game played in Castletownbere. After the game Fergus O’ Driscoll presented the Cormac O’ Driscoll cup to Urhan Captain Ciaràn O’ Sullivan. ‬

This year Wild Atlantic Tag sponsored by Marine Harvest will take place on Saturday August 5th. All are welcome, whether you are a team entry or an individual looking to join a team. The teams will be divided into two sections, Social & Seriously Social! Please contact Sean (0879568363) or Joey (0879865827) to register. It promises to be great craic with plenty of refreshments available pre and post-match! Fantastic local musician Eoghan McEllhenny will entertain the rugby masses from 4.30pm followed by Peadar O’Callaghan and renowned Natural Gas will round off the night from 9.30pm!

Well done to Beara U21 footballers with a comprehensive victory over Bishopstown today. Final score Beara 2-19 Bishopstown 5-06.

As a mark of respect to the family of the late Shane Elphick and his family there will be a number of guards of honour as follows.
Saturday evening in CTB guard of honour from the funeral home by Beara Community School and Supervalu. All gaa clubs are to assemble at Eyeries for a guard of honour at Urhan pitch which will be lit up and the funeral cortege will pause at the pitch. All players and members. All are welcome to participate, particularly his school mates. All players to wear your tops with the side zips if possible and assemble for 7.30. There will be parking at the school and pitch as well as the village. On Sunday morning after mass beara minors & u16 (and anyone who would like to join in) along with the Urhan club will do a guard of honour from the church up the village. Beara jerseys will be provided.

Congrats to Beara U16's who defeated St.Michael's in the U16 Premier 1 County final. Béara 5-7 to St.Michael's 2-2.
