Our Inclusion Athletics Programme begins this Thursday at Longford Athletics Centre! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

This programme is designed for children with additional needs aged 5–12 years.

⏰ Group Times:
• Group 1 (Ages 5–8): 5.45pm – 6.15pm
• Group 2 (Ages 9–12): 6.15pm – 6.45pm

Are you passionate about making sport more inclusive?

Longford Sports Partnership are delighted to deliver the Ability Coaching Programme – Intro to Table Tennis Coaching this June! 🏓✨

We’re inviting adults with additional needs and those from disadvantaged areas to take part in this FREE programme.

📍 Location: St Mary’s Community Campus & Sports Hub

This important milestone marks a new chapter for outdoor recreation across our county and reflects the collaboration, dedication and vision of so many individuals, communities, clubs, agencies and stakeholders. 👏

Get ready for fun-filled sessions packed with athletics, handball, games, movement, and lots of laughter 😄🎯🏅

Open to boys & girls.
Join us for an exciting 3-day Cricket Camp on 23rd, 24th & 25th June at Longford Sports and Leisure Centre, The Mall Longford Town N39 KP30

Whether you're a beginner or already love the game, this camp is all about:

🤝 Co-Designed for the Community, by the Community! 🏋️‍♂️

We are thrilled to share a look behind the scenes at a fantastic new fitness initiative happening right now in Longford!

Our ESF+ Social Innovation in Sport Officer has been working closely with a brilliant group of Multicultural Men who are currently tackling a brand-new Fitness Programme at Snap Fitness Longford.

What makes this programme truly special is that it didn't come off a shelf, it was built with the men themselves using a process called co-design and co-creation.

💡 What does that actually mean?
Co-design means we didn't just guess what the group needed. We sat down together in a series of workshops to listen. We explored the vital role sport plays in their lives, openly discussed the real barriers and challenges that stop them from participating, and brainstormed solutions together as equals.

Co-creation is the next step, it’s the active parts moving together. Taking those shared solutions, we collaboratively built and launched this tailored sports programme from scratch, ensuring it perfectly fits their goals and schedules.

By breaking down barriers together, we ensure that sport and fitness in Longford are genuinely inclusive, accessible, and shaped by the people who use them.

A massive thank you to the management and team at Snap Fitness Longford for their fantastic support in hosting this group and helping bring this vision to life!
