A great opening night for Girls at Ardee Rugby Club last night. Loads of girls giving rugby a lash, and some fantastic displays of skill and madness on show! 😁

Massive thanks to our new Leinster U17 Girls North East Summer Squad member Aine Sands for her great work helping the girls tonight.

Girls continues every Wednesday at Ardee Rugby Club from 7:00pm. Taking part is FREE for all girls aged (roughly) 8 - 14 and there is no obligation to join.

This Wednesday 27th we are delighted to launch our new weekly event, “Girls ”. This is an 8-week series of rugby sessions for girls aged (roughly) 8 – 14 as follows:

🏉 Wednesdays from 7:00pm – 8:15pm in Ardee Rugby Club
🏉 Totally FREE to attend
🏉 Light to low contact rugby trainings – VERY SAFE intro to tackling, scrums, lineouts, etc.
🏉 Fun, Games & Craic
🏉 NO RUGBY EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
🏉 No obligation to join Ardee Rugby
🏉 Free t-shirt for any girls who attend most of the sessions

Friday 29th May sees the return of the popular Youth Touch Rugby evenings from 7:00pm. Our Touch Rugby Nights are:

🏉 Mixed teams of boys and girls of secondary school age
🏉 For everyone - NO RUGBY EXPERIENCE NECESSARY
🏉 Fun social events - regular aftermatch food / bbqs / etc.
🏉 Great craic - if we do say so ourselves!!!

Girls Into Rugby!

Ardee Rugby Club is delighted to launch our new programme - "Girls Into Rugby!" This is a series of 8 weekly sessions, just over 1 hour long, that will give girls a chance to experience rugby training & light games without the intensity of full matches. Details as follows:

• Wednesdays from 7:00pm in Ardee Rugby Club, starting Wednesday 27th May
• For girls aged 8 – 14 (ish)
• Free to attend
• T-shirts presented to all who complete the sessions
• Fun skills, activities & games
• Non-Contact / Low Contact with a very gentle intro to tackling – SAFTEY FIRST
• Open to all - NO RUGBY EXPERIENCE NEEDED

Ardee Rugby Club would like to extend our sincerest sympathies to Senior Coach Adam, his wife Danielle & Club Members AJ, Cian & Cerys Finlay & all the Maguire family on the passing Danielle’s Mam Patricia. May she Rest in peace.

The death has occurred of
Patricia Maguire (née Reynolds)
St. Mary’s Villas, Kilsaran, Castlebellingham.

Passed away peacefully in Beaumont Hospital after a short illness on Thursday, 30th April 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Much loved and treasured wife of Danny, and devoted mother of Danielle, Chris and Brian.
Beloved daughter of Gaby and the late Paddy.
Patricia will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her husband, daughter, sons, mother, son-in-law Adam Finlay, daughters-in-law Annie and Jessica, her adored grandchildren AJ, Cian and Cerys, Olivia, Orla, Kyren and Ava, brother Ken, sisters Ann McKeever, Sharon Hand, Regina Reynolds and Theresa Hoey, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May She Rest In Peace

Reposing at her home [A91 X226] on Saturday from 1pm to 9pm.
Removal on Sunday afternoon at 1.40pm on foot to St. Mary’s Church, Kilsaran [A91 X519] arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm.
Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
