Major inclusivity milestone in Wicklow as first town earns autism-friendly status A milestone moment for inclusivity in County Wicklow has been reached, after Arklow became the first town in Wicklow to be granted Autism Friendly Town status, a recognition driven by a community-led initiative built on years of groundwork by local advocates and support groups.

We’re so proud to be celebrating Arklow becoming an Autism Friendly Town !!! Something that will make a real difference to so many children and families in our community 🌈

To mark the occasion, Little Warriors are hosting a special party for the kids 🥳
A chance for them to feel included, understood, and simply enjoy being themselves.

We’ll have a gentle sensory reading of Ollie the Octopus 🐙📖 — a story that helps children see the world in a more understanding and accepting way.

Easter Inclusive Swimming Lessons – Arklow

Join us this Easter for Inclusive Swimming Lessons at Coral Leisure Arklow on Thursday 9th & Friday 10th April at 10am.

These 30-minute sessions are designed for children aged 7–12 years with a disability or diagnosis, providing a welcoming, supportive and fun environment to build water confidence and develop swimming skills.

Led by qualified and experienced swimming instructors, the focus is on learning, confidence and enjoying time in the water.
