South East Archers

06/10/2026

5 of our archers visited the Wexford Archery Club on the weekend for a 3D standard round. See if you can spot the South East Archers tees in the photos (and shame to those that didn't wear them).

It was a fantastic day on a fantastic course - nothing less than expected from Wexford. Many thanks for having us!

Over this last weekend our members took part in the Irish Field Archery Federation - IFAF National Bowhunter Championships hosted by the ever excellent Aos Dana Archers.

Over two fantastic and challenging days of competition they landed some coveted podium spots, personal bests and even an Irish National Record.

There's not enough words to be said about the quality of the organization for this weekend. Aos Dana Archers are a shining example of dilligence, creativity and a can-do attitude. This was a world-class event that everyone should see as an example.

One of our members will have a 4x4 on site if we need to pull anyone out of the "parking" :D

Joking aside, Aos Dana Archers has done an incredible job in preparing these champs.

We visited the Strongbow Archers for a fantastic day of shooting today!

The double flint is a really fun and yet quite demanding format so we're very happy to have come home with a couple of awards!

If you've never shot with Strongbow Archers, you're really missing out. Not only are the shoots perfectly organized, educational and competitive, but they're also just amazingly _friendly_. I did not stop smiling for the whole day - even shooting the worst blunders didn't feel bad with these incredibly welcoming folks.

We'll be there for sure. But you might not be if you don't get one of those last tickets left!!!!

Congratulations to our archers shooting in the Marked Animal Round in Wexford Archery Club at the tail and of the Irish Field Archery Federation - IFAF National Field Championships.

Despite the two prior days of effort our shooters did fantastic, grabbing first in AMBHR, second in AFBHR and first in CFTR!

Many thanks to Wexford Archery Club for organizing this amazing and rare round. It's a great learning experience at an amazing club. Don Bradley, Se Kelly and Lynn Ellingworth surpassed themselves with the setup using their fantastic venue to its limit.
