Well done to all of our swimmers that represented Wicklow and Wexford over the weekend at the National Nipper and Youth Openwater Lifesaving Championships! Great photos!

Introducing our new Swim Fit Squad. If you enjoy swimming and want to keep up your fitness in a non competitive environment then this squad is for you! Training 2 mornings per week Tuesdays and Fridays 5:45-7:15am, suitable for those aged 14-18yrs that have previous club swimming or lane training experience. Last week some of our swimmers attended the Swim Ireland Olympic Athlete Clinic where they got to meet and learn from Olympic and European champions Ellen Walshe and Mona McSharry🤩it was a a very inspiring event for these young swimmers!

Huge congratulations to Anya, Leon, Ruth and the rest of Water Safety Ireland - Lifesaving Youths National Team at the recent European Youth Lifesaving Competition in Rome!
Together with Team Ireland they finished in a very respectable 6th place overall 👏 Over the 3 day competition at the Stadio Olimpico del Nuoto in the historic Foro Italico, Anya was part of the SERC team that won gold on the first day of the competition. Team captain Leon was on the 2 person rope throw team that claimed bronze on the second day with only 100th of second between 2nd and 3rd place. Throughout the rest of the competition they put in strong performances in their individual and team events, making finals and achieving PB’s with Anya securing a new Irish Record in the 50m Manikin Carry finishing off what was a very successful competition and great experience for them and Team Ireland 🇮🇪

🥇Swim Ireland Openwater Championships. 1st in the 3km race(U14) and 3rd Female overall, well done! 👏

Fresh off the back of a successful Irish Youth & Senior Summer Nationals we wish these three continued success as they travel to Rome, Italy with Team Ireland, where they will compete at the European Youth Lifesaving Championships. Best of luck 🍀
