Anuraidh bhíomar ag múineadh páistí i Canberra, san Astráil, ach tháinig muid abhaile mar gheall ar ár ngrá don teanga, don chultúr agus don tír. Ar an gCéadaoin, bhí an-áthas orainn tráthnóna a chaitheamh i bPáirc an Chrócaigh, áit a bhfuaireamar gradam as ucht cur chun cinn na Gaeilge a dhéanamh i measc an phobail.

Ba mhaith linn buíochas a ghabháil le gach páiste, tuismitheoir agus club a thug tacaíocht dúinn ó d’fhill muid abhaile. Is léir go bhfuil an teanga agus an cultúr ag dul chun cinn arís, agus is mór an onóir dúinn páirt bheag a ghlacadh ann!

In November last year we were teaching children in Canberra, Australia, but our love for the language, the culture and the country brought us home. On Wednesday, we were delighted to spend the afternoon in the home of Irish Sport, Croke Park, where we received an award for promoting the Irish language within the community.

We would like to thank every child, parents and club who has supported Gaeltots over the last few months. It's clear that the language and culture is on the rise again, and we are honoured to be playing a small part in that!

We started Gaeltots so our son could get involved in sport, have fun with other children and so we could help spread our language and culture. Reading Reviews like this from parents make it easy to get up every Saturday and Sunday morning and do what we do...

---------------

'I signed up my son to Gaeltots in Trim GAA as I wanted to improve his social, emotion skills as well as start him learning the GAA skills. My older brother sent his daughter to a Gaeltots session in Canberra and recommended Andy.

My son is 3 and a half and really enjoyed the sessions. I brought him to some of them. His uncle brought him other times I couldn't. My brother plays hurling himself and we often go see him play, so the two of them bonded from it. Bringing spórt, spraoi agus teaghlaigh together just like the GAA does. I speak a cúpla focail at home myself but I'm not fluent. My son picked it up what na múinteoirí were saying and repeats the phrases at home now, which makes me proud to hear, such as "Dhá lámh amach" to catch the football and "Dhá lámh ar an chamán" while he holds and swings his hurley. I love the culture of the language and the sport brought together. Míle buíochas leis na múinteoirí ar fad. Bhí tú an-mhaith.'

Thanks to all the clubs who have supported and promoted Gaeltots and we can't wait to bring the fun to more areas around the county... and maybe even the county!

⭐️🏐⭐️ Grá don Teanga, grá don Spórt agus grá don Tír ⭐️🏐⭐️

We started Gaeltots with the aim that the children (and their parents) would discover a love of the GAA, an appreciation of the Irish language, and when they came of age, join their local GAA club. And that's exactly what is happening! Its great to see 16 children from our first Gaeltots sessions up at the Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA nursery every Saturday morning. And it's even better hearing them responding 'As Gaeilge' half the time.

We have been contacted by a number of clubs about bringing Gaeltots around the county and we are hoping to have some exciting news on that in the near future!

Ba mhaith linn míle buíochas a ghabháil le gach duine a tháinig go Baile Átha Troim ar an Sathairn!

We had our first session in the Trim GAA Club on Saturday morning and we had a ball with the 30 children we met (and their parents too, lol). A multitude of clubs were represented, included Clann Na NGael Meath, Kiltale Hurling & Camogie Club, Na Fianna Gaa Meath, Rathmolyon Hurling Club, Kildalkey Hurling and Camogie Club, Summerhill GFC, Gaeil Colmcille C.L.G and Kilmessan Hurling Club.

From what we've seen, the future of Meath GAA, Meath LGFA and Meath Camogie is looking bright ⭐️🏐⭐️
