Askeaton Swimming Club is incredibly proud to congratulate Joe McCarthy, who tonight was appointed as Honorary President of Swim Ireland for the year ahead.
As a lifelong member of Askeaton Swimming Club, Joe has given tremendous service to our club; a tradition of dedication that runs through his whole family.
We wish Joe all the very best in his new role and look forward to seeing the great work he will continue to do with Swim Ireland for the clubs, for the swimmers, and for everyone involved in swimming in Ireland.

Askeaton Swimming Club AGM will take place on 11th February 2026 at 7pm via Zoom platform (link will be sent to members prior to meeting). All positions are vacant, please send your nominations to [email protected]. (only members can send nominations, if your swimmer is a fully paid member of ASC then one parent can vote/nominate on their behalf). Please forward nominations or motions on or before 4th February at 6pm. Please note any nominations must be agreed with the person beforehand.

After a long 2 years and 8 months, our Senior Squad were finally back in our home pool in Askeaton this morning! 💦

It was absolutely fantastic to see everyone back doing what they love — the smiles said it all! 😄

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. Your support, patience, and commitment have meant so much to the club and community. 💙
