We were very proud to have 3 teams in Challenge Shield action yesterday in Shiven.

First up our Under 14 Girls put in a great display in their Shield final but came up against a stronger ballaghadereen side who took their chances. A fantastic effort from these young bunch of girls who can be right proud of their march to the final yesterday.

Our Under 14 Boys took on St John’s 2 and came out deserving 3-0 winners on the day to secure their second piece of silverware this year. A fantastic achievement by a brilliant bunch of young men who have only gotten better as the season has gone on.

And finally our Under 18 boys secured the Challenge Shield with a hard fought but well deserved win also against St John’s. The lads had to fight all the way in this one, but got the result their efforts deserved.

Well done to all 3 teams and their management on reaching yesterday’s finals and all our other teams who just missed out on reaching the finals day. As always a superbly well ran day and thanks to Padraig, Paul and all at the Roscommon Dist YS League for their care and efforts yesterday.

Tomorrow Moore United F.C. have three teams involved in finals at Shiven Rovers AFC grounds .

This is a great achievement by the teams and management. We wish them the very best of luck.

Congratulations to Moore United F.C. girls u12 1st Division Champions after their 5-1 win last night vs Strokestown United FC.

Well done to Angela, Paula and Bobby for all their hard work during the year. Great achievement for this group who have been brillant during the year.

Some off pitch activities for the youth of the area are cranking up for a new season!

Moore Youth Club, Moore Badminton Club and also Spotlight Moore Youth Drama group. Registration is on this Saturday at 6.00pm in Moore Hall, places are strictly limited so get your child’s name in early!

Moore Youth Drama 2026/2027 Registration for the upcoming Moore Youth Drama Classes
will take place in Moore Hall this Saturday August 29th @ 6pm.

MYD is delighted to welcome Sarah Fahy to the coaching team. Sarah will give workshops on
writing, acting and improvisation.

Get ready for loads of interaction, fun and games!!

MYD is also in discussions with a professional puppeteer to bring his workshop to the group, they are awaiting confirmation from him.

Moore Youth Drama will cater for participants from 8-17 years.

Places will be limited and those interested are advised to attend at registration on this Saturday, August 29th.

Under 11 Girls

Super evenings football Friday evening in Falty from our u11 Europa and Champions girls.

This was our Europa girls first full game together and the hard work and enthusiasm they showed was a joy to watch.

Our champions girls produced one of their best performances of the sesaon and were in extremely hard luck to be on the wrong side of a very tight game.

The future of girls football within the club is in great hands with all these future stars.
