Murphy Sweeney Golf School

The Lennon family are doing great things at the moment and carrying on the golfing tradition of the MacGuigan family.

John and Mary Mc Guigan were both accomplished golfers and stalwarts of Roscommon Golf Club.

Ruth Lennon (nee MacGuigan) and brother Mark both represented Golf Ireland at under age level and also played for Connacht on numerous occasions.

Last week we saw Ruth managing the ladies Connacht team. Players included Ruth's daughter Leah and Roscommon Golf Club Junior Golf star Olivia Costello.

To top the week off, Sine Lennon was leading U12 qualifier in the Wee Wonders Regional (Ireland) final held in Ballina Golf Club. Sine now travels to Gullane Golf club in Scotland at the end of August for the grand final.

Bernhard Langer's 513th start on the DP World Tour was his last appearance on the European tour. He bid an emotional farewell on Friday at the BMW Open in Germany.
With 42 wins, he is 2nd on the all time winners list. Severiano Ballesteros is 1st with 50 wins!
