Well, that was a great weekend of action at Strikers Sports Club with our first ranking event of the season. We had 47 entrants for the Intermediate Tour, 24 for our Premier Tour, 10 for the Ladies Tour and 12 for our Seniors tour.
Well Done to brothers Shane Walsh & Waynos Walshos on reaching the Final of the Intermediate Tour. Shane took home the bragging rights on this one, just about, claiming victory with a final frame decider.
The Premier Tour Grand Prix title went to Terry Parker, Terry beat Jamie O'Connor in the final. Both players had the form to carry them through a tough field of players.
Savannah Cassidy took the spoils in the Ladies event, Savannah beat Mumtaz Hassan in the final. We had 10 in for this one with many familiar faces along with 1 or 2 newbies. It's great to see a rise in numbers again for the Ladies.
Our Seniors is down to the Final Stage with David Fuery & Richie Toal set to compete for the title in the coming days.
In the Junior Tour, we had Tiernan Malynn claim a win over his brother Nathan (14) & his Shannonbridge teammate Conor Mahon in the final stages.
Tour Rankings will be released by the end of the week.
Congrats to everyone.
We hope to see you all again at the next event. October 24th.
