Are we coming near the end of the summer season. Picture from last Sunday morning when we woke up to foggy and cold conditions but the course was holding up and was in pristine condition.

WESTMEATH CLUB CHAMPIONS 2026
Congratulations to our men’s team and management who collected another trophy for Athlone Golf Club on Sunday in the inaugural Westmeath Club Championship which was held at New Forest Estate & Golf Club . This new format saw 12 golfers compete in 4 categories and with 6 clubs taking part Athlone came on top by winning by 14 pts. Well done to New Forest for hosting a brilliant event which sees Athlone hosting this event next year. They have set the bar high for us to replicate.

🍾🍾CONNACHT CHAMPIONS 2026🍾🍾

Congratulations to our ladies who bridged a 23 year gap when they captured the Revive Active Connacht title yesterday in Athlone when they won the 2nd home leg against Castlebar golf club in a sunny but windy day.
Celebrations went well into the evening and night and deservedly so. Well done to the management and all team members who have brought a 2nd Connacht title to the club this year.

Best of luck to our ladies tomorrow who chase the Connacht blue pennant against Castlebar golf club in the 2nd leg of the revive active fourball final. After achieving a 2-2 result from the away leg 2 weeks ago they hope finish it off at home but it won’t be easy. All support would be greatly appreciated to get them over the line.
