**U18 DIVISION 3 | MATCH REPORT**

**Glebe North 6–6 Rush Athletic**

What a game at Town Park! Our U18 Division 3 side welcomed Rush Athletic for a highly entertaining contest that produced an incredible 12 goals.

Both teams delivered an action-packed performance, with end-to-end football, plenty of attacking opportunities and goals throughout. Neither side was able to gain control for long, as the game swung from one end to the other in a thrilling battle.

In the end, the points were shared after a remarkable 6–6 draw. A fantastic spectacle for the supporters, with plenty of excitement right until the final whistle.

Well done to both teams for serving up such an entertaining game of football!

Glebe North 2–7 Wayside Celtic

Our U16 Division 5 side welcomed a strong Wayside Celtic team to Town Park today, but unfortunately, it wasn't our day as we suffered a 7–2 defeat.

An early own goal put us on the back foot, but the team responded well and managed to turn things around to take a 2–1 lead. Unfortunately, some mistakes allowed Wayside Celtic to regain the advantage and score three goals that proved costly.

It's a disappointing result, but there are lessons to be learned as the players look to bounce back in the next fixture.

**Keep working, keep believing, and come back stronger.**

Glebe North FC – United in Memory of Liam Donoghue

This weekend, every team at Glebe North FC, from our youngest players to our senior teams, both home and away, observed a minute of silence in memory of Liam Donoghue, beloved father of Padraic, one of our Under-11 players.

During this incredibly difficult time, our entire club came together to show our love, support and solidarity with Padraic and his family. Football is about much more than what happens on the pitch. It is about community, friendship and standing together when it matters most.

This morning, it was particularly moving to see young Padraic back on the pitch with his teammates. We want him and his family to know that they are not alone. They are part of our Glebe North family, and we will continue to stand beside them through this heartbreaking time.

We would also like to sincerely thank all the opposition teams, their players, coaches and supporters who joined us in observing a minute of silence throughout the weekend. Your respect, kindness and support mean so much to our club and the Donoghue family. Moments like these remind us that football brings communities together, and that some things are far more important than the result of a match.

From everyone at Glebe North FC, we extend our deepest condolences to Padraic and all the Donoghue family.

Padraic, you and your family are part of our family. We are here for you, today and always.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
