GFA Girls U12 result
Ballinasloe Town 1 - 1 Kinvara Utd
Ballinasloe faced Kinvara in the early game this morning and although both sides started the game very brightly Ballinasloe lacked a little composure in front of goal and the couple of early chances they created went begging. Kinvara took the lead through a well worked move but Ballinasloe were unlucky to not equalise just before the break when Freya hit the post. Ballinasloe came out strong in the second half but again were unable to find the finishing touch in front of goal. With time running out Amelia broke down the right and set up Éle Hogan to hit the back of the net with a superb finish. A draw was a fair result in the end with two very evenly matched teams playing some great football at times. The girls are back in action tomorrow morning in the Connaught Cup.

GFA Girls U13 Premier Result

Ballinasloe 2
Corrib Rangers 1

Our u13 girls hosted Corrib Rangers this evening in the Shearwater Hotel Park.
Tough conditions for a game but the girls flew out the traps from the first whistle.
Chloe,Amelia,Maria,Éinín and Aubree all had chances to open the scoring but the ball just wouldn't find the back of the net.
Half-time 0-0

The second half was back and forth but Ballinasloe were rewarded when the lively Èle Hogan chased down a long ball and slotted past the Corrib keeper.
Ballinasloe doubled their lead shortly after when awarded a penalty which captain Emily Mae calmly put away.
Corrib came back into it after that, but Maliyah in goal was on fine form, pulling off some great saves to keep them out.
Corrib were awarded a penalty late on and scored to set up a tense finish but the girls kept pushing forward and eventually ran out 2-1 winners.
A brilliant team performance overall.
Well done ladies 👏👏
