🔵⚽ Junior Men earned a deserved 3️⃣-0️⃣ victory against Carrigtwohill United AFC last night at 🏟️🔵

The started well with the hard-working Evan Hennessy getting into fantastic goal scoring positions through intelligent and powerful runs, but the striker couldn't break the deadlock, in part thanks to the heroics of United goalkeeper Francys Rodrigues.

⚽ The opening goal came when recently re-signed defender Ben O'Doherty tapped home a loose ball off a corner. 1️⃣-0️⃣.

❌🥅 It stayed that way for large parts of the game, despite Hennessy and team mate Conor Linehan's best efforts. However the insurance was too come when substitute Adam Bornemann netted five minutes after his introduction ⚽.

🔵 Another incoming substitute Diarmaid O'Regan secured the points late on to make it 3️⃣-0️⃣.

What will please coach Graham Keeffe and his team the most is the volume of chances created, the first game for a long time for youngster David Donovan in midfield, and a clean sheet for goalkeeper Gavin Jones 💙⚽👍

🏆 Neither side could crash the deadlock and the game finished 0️⃣-0️⃣. The had drama though, with the ever-reliable Rebecca pulling off a great save from a Mary's penalty ⚽❌🥅

🔵⚽ Our Under 13B Boys travelled east to face Passage Soccer Club on Sunday morning. After winning their opening game, the were looking to continue their winning ways in Rockenham Park 🏟️⚽

came straight out of the traps and were a goal up in the first minute with Simon going through and finishing well. 0️⃣-1️⃣

Passage came back straight away and equalised moments later. The home side posed a strong threat down both wings and took control of the game, earning a 3️⃣-1️⃣ lead at half time.

⚽ There was little between the teams as the second half wore on. pushed forward in an attempt to get back into the contest, however they were caught on the break.

🥅 Simon did manage to add his and the visitor's second of the game after good work from Lucca and Odhran. Passage's clinical finishing though proved the difference between the teams, with the score being 7️⃣-2️⃣ at the full time whistle.

🔵 It was a fantastic team effort throughout the team, with Heidi and Callie starring as fullbacks. Julia on the wing put in a mighty shift, amwoth coach Jimmy saying afterwards that every girl deserved a mention for the result! 💪👍
