Your life is different.
It's difficult to get the results you want, isn't it?
Navigating the s**t show that is social media.
Wondering what the hell you need to do to get a body you’re in love with
So much advice from people with their own agendas.
They don't get that your life is different.
That you've done all the diets there are, and still nothing.
What's worse?
You've tried to do it by yourself.
Tried to learn how to diet, exercise and fit it all together.
It's tough.
But do you know what helped me the most on my journey when I was trying to achieve a higher quality of life through fitness?
Telling my social circle exactly what I was trying to do.
Explaining how important it was to me.
Including them gave me a network of support when things got tough…
Having people on my side made things a lot easier.
If you can, I recommend you do the same.
Do you have anyone in mind?

I'm not here to shout at you 🤫
Dieting has a horrific success rate… around 5%.
But it's no wonder, with all the terrible information out there spat out by the abundance of bo****ks head in the fitness industry.
They are more worried about how many followers they have rather than providing clients with life changing results.
Not only that, we are all humans… our bodies tempt us with hunger and cravings. 😋
And even with the best intentions, cake, chocolate and a few beers at the weekend slip into our diets. 🍰
But I'm not here to shout at you for that 😂
I want to give you something that will drastically increase your chances of getting the results you want.
Results like a resilient body and infectious energy are typical inside the first 90 days of your time with Metanoia.
You need to plan as much as you can.
Do your best to plan your meals out in advance and use that as a base to do your shopping.
No more aimlessly wandering around the supermarket wondering what to buy.
Which, in the long run, will save you money by not venturing down the "oh look, goodies" aisle in Tesco 😂
If you plan your meals, it helps to remove temptation from your environment.
Having ready-to-eat meals means you're less likely to react to hunger by reaching for the sour patch kids at the back of the cupboard.
I'm not saying you have to become a Michelin-starred chef…
Or start carrying Tupperware around with you.
Just make it a bit easier for yourself.
Have a plan.
What’s the best meal deal though? Asking for a friend… 👀

It’s not selfish.
Treat others as you want to be treated.
Golden rule, right? Probably heard it your whole life.
But how often are you told to treat YOURSELF how you want others to treat you?
So often, we put ourselves last.
Make sure other people are happy before us. Bending to the needs of others.
Of course, at times, we have to.
✅ Put family first
✅ Help our friends out
✅ Do things at work we don’t want to do
But not all the time.
There comes a time when you must put yourself first, treat yourself with the highest respect and tell people no.
Put your wants, needs and goals before anyone else.
Keep your promises to yourself to reach your goals.
After all, if you break your promise to yourself, you lose trust in yourself.
This is something we pride ourselves on at Metanoia.
We give you the tools to make the most outrageous progress possible.
But we give you the support and guidance you need to implement it.
The support that you need when you’re trying to put yourself first.
A sounding board of advice in a world where you’re being pulled from pillar to post.
I know you might be thinking it’s selfish.
But in reality? Putting yourself first and getting the results you want out of life will make you happier.
Which means everyone around you will get the best version of you.
What goals do you have right now that you’d love to achieve in the next three months?

🌀 Going around in circles. 🌀
The short-term option always seems the easiest.
Doing something that gives you a quick fix now...
Is easier to wrap your head around than looking at something that could take six months or even a year.
🍳It’s a natural thing to do. We humans, more often than not, take the easier path.
And do you know what? Sometimes that’s fine.
However, the short-term option is rarely the best when transforming how you look and feel.
And that’s true when it comes to relationships and business too.
Toni had tried a tonne of different plans before, making great progress for a couple of weeks but inevitably falling off the plan. 😩
Moving onto the next quick-fix solution or stacking on more and more “solutions”. 🤔
Going around and around in circles. 😵💫
She felt like a failure, that getting results like building back a healthy relationship with food and seeing their body change to the frame they’ve always wanted were reserved for other people.
She felt like giving up. 😔
But after not weighing herself or tracking cals for nearly six months, she has seen her body change more than ever before.
Rather than letting bumps in the road bring her down and put the nail in the coffin for her results.
Those bumps pi**ed her off so much that she knew she had to find a solution.
When she reached out, she explained, “I’ve worked with a lot of coaches before I just feel i’m never getting what I need and I’m always left feeling I am missing something or need more.”
We stripped everything back to basics.
Looked at longer-term solutions by integrating a plan into her life, slowly changing things as he got more and more used to the plan
And six months later?
🔥New woman, unrocognisable, with a plan he found easy to follow and no more flip-flopping between diets or coaches
“Even with the constraints of which I am working with in order to achieve the goals I want, he’s managed to help me frame my days more productively, work closer to achieving my goals, all while loving myself and honouring myself better”
How much does this gal motivate you to smash your goals?

Don't change everything just yet.
Have you ever heard of compound interest?
It's the interest you earn on interest.
Your money keeps going up and up until you get to a certain level, and the curve is STEEP 📈
You can look at it a bit like your fitness journey.
At the start, you change one or two things and start seeing results.
As you get used to this new way of life, you add something else.
You keep going and going until everything is added on top of each other, and you see tremendous results.
Not sure what I mean? Check this out:
If you want results like a resilient body and more mental clarity , and this is day 1 of your plan, it could look like this.
You start going to the gym twice a week and swap out one meal of junk food for a quality meal of meat and veggies.
When you're comfortable with that and find it easy…
You add another gym session and make another 1 or 2 meals of your daily diet better.
You can see where this is going, right?
Eventually, you're tracking your calories, going to the gym four times a week, have a fantastic sleep schedule.
And you're getting outrageous results.
The point of this post is you don't have to change everything at once and overwhelm yourself.
You can start slow and build up from there in manageable pieces.
Until eventually, you get the results you want.
Does that sound like a plan to you?

Things didn't always go my way.
Life is one big challenge.
From the moment you were born, you've had to overcome challenges.
Some you managed to overcome with ease, while others were extremely difficult.
I remember when I first started my fitness business.
After leaving my office job, I had little to no money in the bank, and I had to figure out a way to get enough clients to pay my way and feed myself.
The stress was real, haha.
It would have been easy to give up when things got tough.
Easy to just forget this fitness stuff and go back to a job I knew wasn't for me.
But fitness was my calling. I knew it was something I was meant to do in life.
I persevered.
Did I always make the best decisions? F**k no haha!
Did things always go my way? Absolutely not.
So if you have goals of getting fit, healthy and improving your mental health, I’m sure you don’t need me to warn you… There will be challenges.
Challenges like the kids being up all night and not sleeping a wink to having a mega stressful time at work.
These things will test your resolve to get the results you want.
Will you always beat these challenges? Nope… but that is ok.
As long as you keep moving towards your goal, that's all you can do.
You will defeat some challenges, and others will knock you off course.
But if you keep on going, you'll never be defeated.
What's the biggest challenge you're facing right now?

We forget about what we have.
Seeking what we don't have is an inevitable part of life.
All of us, at some point, have wanted something we haven't got.
Whether that's a new toy when we were kids.
A partner when we're single.
Or a new, higher-paying job… every Monday morning haha!
We are so good at searching for what we don't have we forget about the things we do have.
I remember when I first started my fitness journey.
I wanted to be a bodybuilder. I wanted to be so shredded I looked inside out and have arms that made me talk of the gym.
Bare in mind at this time, I was a scrawny 29-year-old, a butchers apron had more meat on it than I did.
But after a few months, I gained a good 11kg, got a lot stronger and felt much better about myself.
But I was still looking at my final goal, constantly telling myself, "you look crap, look how far off you are from being a beast."
I didn't take stock of what I'd achieved already, which was damn impressive if I do say so myself.
Looking at what you have now and what you've achieved is so important.
If you don't, you will always want something you haven't got yet, and not truly be happy.
I want you to write in the comments below something you've achieved that you're proud of.

“Living my best life” politely, f**k off.
We live in an age where everything seems to be perfect.
The best of everyone's lives are plastered over social media.
Check-ins from people jet-setting worldwide "living their best life."
I hate that term, total w**k, in my opinion.
Photos of Fitbits with 10,000 miles clocked up the past week, 🙄.
Or perfect-looking meal prep, you know the photos, don't you?
About 45 different Tupperware, all laid out on the table, filled with pure bland nonsense.
Cold cauliflower? Oh yeah, cheers. I’ll really look forward to that 🤢
And you're trying your hardest to do what you can.
But looking around makes you feel inadequate like you're not doing enough to see results.
Let me tell you this, I felt the same way when it comes to business, and I still do from time to time.
Looking up at people who've been in the game longer than me, wishing I was where they are.
But those same people you feel are perfect have insecurities themselves.
They look at other people and feel inadequate, so don't feel like you're alone.
I know it's hard not to feel bad when everyone around you seems perfect.
But you don't need to be to see fantastic results.
Concentrate on yourself and realise perfection, no matter what you see around you, is an impossibility.
Have you ever looked up to someone and realised they're not perfect?

I am disappointed, angry and sad I could not complete the 1000km
I started this journey to raise awareness for and the incredible work they do.
I wanted to show those who are battling with an eating disorder or those who care for someone who is suffering that there is hope. It is possible to overcome the seemingly monumental challenge and become a stronger, healthier, self-loving version of yourself.
Although I did not complete the task before me, after some reflection I am proud of what I did accomplish. Which was 590km and 13’681m of climbing
After a crash where my head took a whack, I caught hypothermia and my knees became so inflamed pedalling became almost impossible I was told by the medical team I couldn’t continue.
My friend said to me after I pullout of the race that this is only a defeat if I didn’t learn anything from it and I learned a lot.
Thank you all who supported me during the RAF and those of you who messaged after I was forced to abandon. I was overwhelmed by the kindness and positivity from you.
To those of you who have donated to bodywhys thank you it means so much!
To those who want to support bodywhys the donation page is still in my Bio
This is not the end of my crusade to support people battling with an eating disorder and I will take what I have learned from this experience to improve my abilities and I will take on the RAF again.
For now it’s recovery and focusing on the next challenge
