Here is a selection of photos from our presentations at Bantry Bay Golf Club on Friday night. Well done to all our winners, especially the Scratch Cup winners, Keith Curtin (Senior), Paul Dineen (Junior), Billy Aylmer (Intermediate) and Paddy O’Keeffe (Minor) and huge thanks to our loyal and generous sponsors Harrington Estates Bantry, Topline Murphy & O' Connor, Maxol Bantry and Cetti Building Contractors.

Also, a special mention to Rory Aylmer who shot -2 in yesterday’s competition. No one in the club works harder at improving their game and Rory is proof that practice pays off with a new handicap of scratch.

It is with great sadness that we learnt of the news of the passing of our member and dear friend, Pat Morrissey.

Pat was a much-loved and deeply respected member of Bantry Bay Golf Club. He served the club with distinction over many years as President, Captain and a member of our Management Committee, always giving his time, energy and friendship to the club he cared so deeply about.

Pat's connection with Bantry Bay went far beyond simply being a member. He had a genuine love for the club, the course and, most importantly, the people who make it the special community that it is. That affection was very much returned, and his presence, humour and friendship will be greatly missed by all of us at Bantry Bay.

On behalf of Bantry Bay Golf Club, we extend our deepest condolences to his wife Eileen, his children Paddy and Jo, and to all of Pat's relatives, friends and loved ones at this very difficult time.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Well done to Bantry Bay Golf Clubs team who won the Michael Minihan Shield in Glengarriff Golf Club yesterday. Top scorers on the day were the pairing of John O’Riordan and Jerry Sheehan and they were ably assisted by the other pairings of Alan Draper and Michael Harrington, Ger Harrington and Timmy Sheehan and Hugh Rothwell and Tom Jamieson to finish with 118 points. Always nice to finish the year off with some silverware as these competitions are hard to win!! Well done lads.

And a big shout out to Ray Holland who won The Quay's Bar sponsored gents strokeplay competition on Sunday. Ray shot his age for a gross 75, giving him a net 63, our joint lowest nett score of the year, to take the spoils.
