Derek Loonam from Loonam Bros Custom Rods.
I‘d Like to inform you that I no longer make Custom Rods or repair, So many balls in the air and moved away from Birr so it’s not possible to dedicate my time and serve people in a timely manner and currently no facilities.
I like to thank all my customers through the years and all the people who recommended me and indeed liked my work. It’s been great and I’ve make some great people along the way that I consider friends now, See you on the River or Lake….. Tight Lines

Highly Customised 10,6 6wt Lough style rod is built for an Irish Defence Forces Soldier and UN Peacekeeper, The Butt has an encased altered UN Medal, in stainless steel cup, With Black reelseat, Full Wells, then each wrap represents UN logo with white Olive Branch, each guide has individual colours from the different ribbons and Medals awarded, complete with inscriptions and Jungle C**k Liners

Restoration of an old cane brought back to Limerick, Stripped back to bare cane, Brass ferrules and sliders/Butt restored to former glory, new wraps of green silk mix thread, new eyes and a new Agate, Original Cork grip re-Hardened and lastly varnished cane and wraps individually treated and varnished, Thanks Barry for choosing Loonam Bros Custom Rods
