I love this gang 💚
Over the last 13 years, METHOD has become so much more than a place where we train. Somewhere along the way, it became a community of people who genuinely care about one another.
We’ve celebrated the good times together. But what makes this group truly special is how we’ve shown up for each other during the difficult times.
Because life has happened to all of us over those 13 years.
We’ve lost people. We’ve had our hearts broken. We’ve grieved. Some of us struggled with addiction. We’ve messed things up. We’ve made mistakes. We’ve had plans fall apart and moments where life just felt incredibly unfair.
We’ve dealt with grief, heartbreak, loss, uncertainty. And all the other things life throws at us when we least expect them.
Not one of us here is perfect.
But there is something incredibly powerful about knowing you have people around you who will listen, try to understand, and who won’t judge. People who will offer compassion, support or simply sit beside you when there isn’t anything useful to say.
I’ve watched friendships grow here that go far beyond the walls of METHOD. I’ve watched people carry each other through some really difficult chapters. And I’ve been lucky enough to have you carry me through some of mine too.
Maybe that’s what community really is.
A bunch of imperfect people, each dealing with their own s**t, choosing to show up and care for one another.
Because life isn’t always a bed of roses.
Sometimes you’re just shovelling s**t together.
