Cian Grogan rolling and cutting the grass pitches ahead of the weekend. He plays for the 16s. We've plenty of things to do in the club for people willing to get involved and contribute. ⚽️👊

Action from our under 8s training tonight on the 5G pitch. 33 teams in total training with 65 kids in the academy on top. The club is ran by volunteers. We're nothing without them, the players and their parents who commit to the club each season. ⚽️

Dylan Travers. Born 1998. Played football with the club from the age of 6 and did everything in between then and now. Won leagues and cups. Trialed for Nottingham Forest, Manchester United and Aston Villa. Played underage LOI. Before we ever dreamed of an All-Ireland win, Dylan's team, ran by his Da,
Johney Bootman and Clive Keogh reached two All-Ireland semi-finals. A first for D15.

In recent weeks, Dylan has had a nasty medical issue that has taken him out of football for the season, if not indefinitely. He is our current senior team captain and a well liked lad from the DUFF.

The club would like to put our appreciation on record for all of the years he has given the club and the senior section would like to organise something later in the year to give him a boost before Christmas. ⚽️

On a final note. Dylan was never blessed with rugged good looks but he made up for that with a football brain and for that we are forever grateful⚽️📸

**APPRECIATION POST**

Jamie McCarthy has been playing in the club since he was in the academy for 4,5 and 6-year-olds. On the weekend he was in outstanding form for our under 17s. This photographer took the photos then and now, and to see Jamie progress so well in the club is what it's all about.

He was always a good kid - following in a long line. His Grand Da is Lar O'Shea, while all of his brothers played with the club. ⚽️

Some aerial images this evening as the SSG pitch is now up and running. The last two years involved a big sacrafice in terms of winter training but we look forward. ⚽️
