The Grande Finale of the Open Water Season.

Expression of interest is now open for The Lambay Island Swim!

All applications will be reviewed by the organising committee and where applicable further proof or more information on the standard of the swimmer may be required from the swimmer or their club.

As this is an extremely challenging swim with high risk, not all applications will be accepted.

Four young Irish Water Polo players will take on one of Ireland’s most iconic open-water swimming routes when they attempt a 17-kilometre relay swim from Carrybridge to Enniskillen to raise funds for LauraLynn – Ireland’s Children’s Hospice.

The relay team consists of Sophia Mangan and Carla Millar of North Dublin Winter Swimming Club (N.D.W.S.C), Cara Beagon of St. Vincent’s Waterpolo Club, and Robyn Harper Duffy of Half Moon SWPC.

Together, they will complete the former Irish Long Distance Championship course, swimming one-hour relay legs. In an extraordinary display of endurance, teamwork and determination, the girls will take on the entire challenge without wetsuits.
