Poulaphouca Paddlers Kayak Club based on the Poulaphuca Resevoir (Blessington Lakes), Ballymore Eustace, Co Kildare. Junior & Adult Club nights on the Lake all summer.

Poulaphouca Paddlers Kayak Club consists of junior and senior members ranging from 12 years upwards! The club operate from on the Blessington Lakes / Poulaphouca Resevoir. It is run by a dedicated committee and Canoe Ireland qualified instructors. We cater for a diverse range of paddlers - leisurely lake paddles, Canoe Ireland Skills Awards, safety & rescue training, instructor training. The clubs boasts many great achievements. Club members have competed at both national & international level. We run weekly evening Lake Session on Monday - Friday from May to October and adhoc in Winter. The club paddle a diverse range of rivers of varying grades in Wicklow, Carlow, Dublin and Meath areas on an ad-hoc basis on weekends. Weekend trips to various Irish rivers are run regularly as well as intensive weekend courses in some of the UK's National Whitewater Centres & summer Alpine paddling trips in Europe for the more adventurous paddler. Introducing our newly elected Chairperson, Sam Stack. A well timed introduction as we are also congratulating him on achieving his Level 4 Sea Skill at the weekend. Also a level 3 river paddler and has completed many ISGKA modules. A retired climber, a hiker and impressive ice-skater. We are lucky to have him as chair to help steer our great little club in the coming year.
