There was a tremendous turnout at Buncrana Golf Club over the weekend for Mr Liam Henderson’s Captain’s Prizes, with a large field taking to the course in what were exceptional conditions. With the course presented in superb shape, everything was in place for a weekend of high-quality golf and the players certainly delivered. The man who emerged from a highly competitive field to claim the coveted first prize was the big-hitting Paul Mc Daid (8 ), who continues to enjoy a superb run of form. Pauric recorded no fewer than seven birdies and just three bogeys on his way to a tremendous 4 Under Par (62 gross), underlining the quality of golf on show during one of the club’s biggest weekends of the year.
Eoin McNamee claimed the Category 1 prize with his fine return of 38pts.
