🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ From Bundoran to Chicago & Dublin! 🇺🇸🇮🇪

It’s a big couple of weeks for the two of us behind the Bundoran 10!

This weekend Canice takes on the Chicago Marathon 🇺🇸 and two weeks later Sarah will line up for the Dublin City Marathon 🇮🇪.

For Sarah, those 26.2 miles mean something very special. ❤️

She’s running for Children’s Health Ireland, who cared for her daughter Robyn after she required life-saving surgery just days after she was born.

Today Robyn is a happy, thriving two-year-old ❤️ — and Sarah is taking herself well outside her comfort zone to give something back. Anyone who knows Sarah knows running a marathon definitely wasn’t the obvious choice! 😂👏

To everyone in the Bundoran 10 community currently training for Dublin, New York or another autumn marathon — good luck! 💪

And when it’s all over…

Don’t waste that fitness! 😉

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ The Bundoran 10 team are swapping organising for racing!

This weekend, Canice is heading to 🇺🇸 Chicago to take on the Chicago Marathon, and two weeks later Sarah will be on the start line of the 🇮🇪 Dublin City Marathon.

Sarah’s Dublin Marathon has a very special meaning. ❤️

She’s running in support of Children’s Health Ireland, as a thank-you for the incredible care given to her daughter Robyn, who required life-saving surgery just days after she was born.

Thankfully, Robyn is now a happy, thriving two-year-old — and Sarah has decided to take herself well and truly outside her comfort zone to give something back. Anyone who knows Sarah will know that 26.2 miles was definitely not the obvious choice! 😂

We know plenty of the Bundoran 10 community are also deep into marathon training at the minute — whether it’s Dublin, New York or another autumn race — and we want to wish every one of you the very best of luck. 👏

And when the marathon is over and the legs have recovered… don’t waste all that fitness!

🚨 500 PLACES GONE ALREADY! 🚨

A huge thank you to everyone who has already entered the Bundoran 10 Mile & 5K 2027. The response has been incredible, and we're delighted to confirm that 500 places have already been secured! 🎉

The Bundoran 10 has become one of Ireland's most popular early-season running events, taking runners and walkers along a spectacular Wild Atlantic Way coastal route before finishing on the iconic Roguey Walk.

If you're planning to join us, don't leave it too late. Entries are moving quickly and we'd love to see you on the start line next March.

Bundoran 10 Mile & 5k is back for 2027.

Over €30,000 raised for local charities.

Three local charities received welcome cheques this week from the 2026 Bundoran Run which took place in early March.

This year’s Bundoran Run, with perfect weather conditions attracted a huge entry from across the country with over 2,500 people participating.
The run is located against the backdrop of some of the most spectacular scenery in the country - a stunning coastal route which takes in the Wild Atlantic Way from Bundoran to the Leitrim coastline before finishing via the breathtaking (literally) Roguey Walk at Bundoran’s main beach.

€30,000 was raised by the run with the RNLI, Bundoran Community Centre and Creevy Hub being the main beneficiaries while Tir Chonaill AC, Aodh Ruadh CLG, Realt Na Mara, Melvin Gaels and DLS running club along with other local organisations also received donations.

The cheques to Creevy Hub and Bundoran Community Centre were presented by the run committee at the new recreational and sports facility in Creevy, pictured below. While the RNLI picture below is from a previous year.

Meanwhile, registration for next year’s event, at the link below, is open. It will take place on the 6th March 2027.
