After a long night of travel the boys were up bright and early and faced off against the Swiss side who was stacked with talent and giants and the boys managed to pull away with a win after Arminas Vainoras got a beautiful last second baseline floater to secure the W.
Final score 62-60 to NABA 🟠⚫️

Next up was the home side Roseto Academy who were always going to be a great match up.
The boys started off well going up 10-3 which resulted in Roseto calling an early time out to adjust and slowly chipped their way back into the game and took a lead. The NABA boys were giving it everything they had but it just wasn’t enough and fell short in the end loosing out by 5 points.
Nojus Vasikauskas managed to achieve a triple double in this game having himself 22 points , 10 assists and 11 rebounds.
Final score 76-71 to Roseto 🥺

Good job lads and hard luck in the second game , back to the hotel now where the boys can get some well deserved rest and get ready for 2 big games tomorrow 💯🏀.

Huge Shoutout to 2008 born Aaron Carberry who will attend Wesley Christian in Kentucky this upcoming season. Aaron is a player from who attended our EYBL Program this season and played with our U16 travel Squad. Aaron managed to catch the attention of the coach at Wesley after a successful season at eybl and also was ranked #1 in scoring with an average of 17.5 points a game at eybl last season.

Best of luck to Former NABA player Simonas Jonusas 🇱🇹 and his Current Team Gran Canaria who set off this weekend to mainland Spain to compete in the Spanish championship after a successful Canarian Championship, Gran Canaria came 1st after a thrilling final display with a big win over Tenerife. The best of the best will compete at the Spanish championship and it will be a huge weekend of great basketball and we’re all excited to watch a great weekend of basketball !

Gran Canaria have announced they will be travelling to dublin to host an Elite Talent Identification Trial this July.

Gran Canaria will bring its own coaching staff to host these identification sessions, they will put the players through a 3 hour practice session that will allow players to showcase their talents. Gran Canaria compete in some of the highest levels of senior basketball in Europe such as the ACB (Liga Endesa) and the Euro Cup.

Gran Canaria will be recruiting players born between the years of 2013 up to 2005 born players. This is available for both Girls and Boys.

Players are encouraged to register early as demand for places is anticipated to be high

Today our U14 EYBL lads will depart Dublin airport and head out to Riga Latvia for the Final 8 Play-offs of the U14 .
The lads have 3 games and need to win 2 or more to qualify for the semi finals.

We all wish the boys the best of luck and we know either way they will do us proud and represent the NABA Family well

So far this season the boys have been successful at two out of the 3 stages having won 10 games straight in Eastern Europe.
