Well done to our St Fiaccs swimmers Lauren skills academy & Amelia regional stage 1 . Great work girls .
It’s that time of year again - the Leinster Regional Programmes are under way!
The 2026–27 Skills Academy group came together for the first time on 26th September, and it was brilliant to see a mix of familiar faces and swimmers joining us for the first time. The day got off to an energetic start with Niamh and Liza putting the swimmers through their paces in S&C, followed by some great discussions with Shane on sports psychology and Emma on sports nutrition. We rounded off the day in the pool, with fantastic support from coaches Grainne and Debbie.
The following day it was the turn of our Stage 1 group. We have a great-sized group this year after so many strong performances from Leinster swimmers last season. Julie, our ever-reliable TM, was on hand to support the swimmers as they moved between sessions and help keep everything running smoothly, with Ciaran and Magda providing fantastic support at the pool session.
Our Stage 2 group completed their orientation day on 3 October. It may be a smaller group, but there was certainly no shortage of enthusiasm! The swimmers enjoyed sharing experiences with Shane and getting stuck into learning more about nutrition with Ronan, before heading to the pool. A big thank you to Cian, Marina, Ciaran and Paul for their coaching support.
And finally, a huge thank you to the parents who stepped up to fill the POD roles. Your support helps make these programme days possible.
A great start to the 2026–27 Leinster Regional Programmes - plenty of learning, teamwork and hard work both in and out of the pool! 🏊♀️🏊♂️💪
