Our Special Abilities Tag Rugby Team returns on Thursday, 10th September, and we are delighted to welcome new and returning players for another season!

The Bees are open to children and young adults aged 6–21. No previous rugby experience is needed. Come along, have fun and be part of a supportive team where everyone is welcome.

Our U15s took on Athy Rugby Football Club this morning in a friendly match to kick off the season!

🏉 COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT

County Carlow Football Club is delighted to welcome Richie Nicholls to the Senior Women’s coaching team as Assistant and Backs Coach for the 2026/27 season.

Richie is a certified personal trainer and gym instructor and is currently studying for a BSc in Strength and Conditioning with Setanta College.

He also works with Leinster Rugby as a Club Community Rugby Officer through County Carlow Football Club, visiting primary and secondary schools throughout Carlow to introduce children to rugby and encourage them to continue playing with the club.

Richie has coached rugby for several years, including involvement with Kilkenny College. He is looking forward to bringing a new coaching philosophy and style of play to our Senior Women’s team.

We are delighted to have Richie on board and look forward to the season ahead. 🖤💛
