The Open Amateur Perpetual Cup which is in existence since 1945 is up for grabs and many well known dancers names are engraved on the base.

This is a testament in itself as it has survived 81 years .

Carlow County Council are one of the main sponsors in conjunction with DanceSport Ireland.

Sincerest condolences to Geraldine Ferns, Dave Roberts and family on the passing of Bernie.

We have many great memories over the years and without fail at the All Irelands each year she would give us a ‘Good Luck’ card and individual cards to my students. She loved my boys and took great delight when they got her up for a dance.

Rest in peace Bernie.
