A Brief History of Carlow Town Hurling Club;
Hurling has been played in Carlow Town as far back as the early 19th century. A hurling team from the Town- then under the name of The Pearses – won the Senior Hurling Championship in 1961 and 1963 and were beaten in a replayed final in 1965.
