Leitrim Sports Partnership would like to extend our sincere thanks to Carrigallen Healthy Club for the invitation to attend and support their excellent Health & Wellbeing Evening.

It was a fantastic community event, with a great turnout and an inspiring range of information stands and support services available on the night. A special mention to the outstanding speakers who delivered informative and engaging presentations on topics that are so important to the health and wellbeing of our communities.

Events like this showcase the strength of community collaboration and highlight the many supports available across County Leitrim.

Well done to everyone involved in organising such a successful evening, and thank you for giving Leitrim Sports Partnership the opportunity to be part of it.

📢We are delighted to announce our new 7-Week Drumshanbo Run to 5K Programme, starting 3rd November, based at the Drumshanbo Community Sports Hub and delivered in partnership with Drumshanbo Athletics Club.

If you or your friends would like to:
✅ Meet new people
✅ Improve your fitness and wellbeing
✅ Build confidence in running
✅ Take the first steps on your running journey
..then this programme is for you!

Our experienced coaches will guide and support you every step of the way in a welcoming and encouraging environment. Whether you're completely new to running or looking to get back into a routine, this programme is designed to help you progress gradually towards completing 5K.

Mental Health & Wellbeing Supports Launched Across Leitrim

Leitrim Sports Partnership is delighted to have partnered with Mental Health Ireland, Leitrim GAA and HSE Connecting for Life in the development and launch of Health & Wellbeing Supports for clubs and communities across County Leitrim.

The initiative includes the installation of Health & Wellbeing Boards at every GAA club ground and the county ground, supported by a practical toolkit for clubs and a dedicated webpage providing access to a wide range of national, regional and local support services through a QR code.
This important initiative aims to improve communication, raise awareness of available supports, and ensure that people know where they can turn for help, whether for themselves, a family member, a teammate, or a friend.
Leitrim Sports Partnership is committed to supporting the health and wellbeing of communities throughout the county, and we are proud to be involved in a project that makes support services more visible and accessible to everyone.

🌟 Our Mums & Me Fitness Programme recently got underway in Mohill, and what a fantastic start it has been!

😊 It was wonderful to see new mums and their babies enjoying some gentle physical activity together while also having the opportunity to connect with other local mums.

👩‍🍼 The programme is designed to support mums in returning to exercise in a relaxed, welcoming environment, while creating valuable social connections and shared experiences.

👶We look forward to the next few weeks as participants continue their fitness journey, build friendships, and enjoy quality time with their little ones.

Fit Farmers Leitrim is coming to Áras Pádraig, Drumshanbo this November with a friendly, nurse-led 6-week health and wellbeing programme designed especially for farmers.
