That’s a wrap for our 9 & Dine 2026! ⛳️🍽️

All good things must come to an end, and we are so grateful to everyone who has taken part since we kicked things off back in May. Without all of you, it simply wouldn’t have been the fabulous success it was.

A very special word of thanks to our incredible chef James and his team, and to Valerie and Roseanne behind the bar. Your hard work and warm welcome helped make every Friday evening so enjoyable. Friday nights just won’t be the same without you all! ❤️

Finishing the season in style this evening were our winners, Artur Amolins and Keith McHugh, with a fantastic score of 21 points (on countback). 🏆👏

Congratulations, lads!

Siobhan Hand continues her consistent run of golf this season. She posted 36pts on Wednesday to win Division 1. Another lady who hasn't been a stranger to the podium this year, Angela Fahey finished top of Division 2. Well done ladies.

Another lovely evening at our 9 & Dine! ⛳️

As always, the food was delicious — a big thank you to James and his team, and also to Valerie behind the bar, whose hard work often goes unnoticed but is very much appreciated. 👏

This week’s winners, with a very healthy score of 22 points, were Rita O’Loughlin and Angela McBride. Well done, ladies! 🏆👏

Very sadly, next week’s 9 & Dine will be the last one of the season, so please do your best to come along and join us for one final evening together.

Mannan Castle win two out of three Hilton Shields.🥂
Monday our Junior Team won and our Intermediate Hilton Shield had victory on Tuesday. 👏

Tuesday was a busy day at Mannan Castle, we had two Hilton Shield Finals, we were victorious against Concrawood in the Intermediate Hilton Shield captained by Mary Cassidy, all matches were played with great sportsmanship, a good banter before and after the maches, but on the course it was serious stuff. Well done girls.

Alas, our senior Hilton Team finished in second place, with Virginia as the winners, our Senior Hilton Shield captained by Margaret Crawley/Mary MacNamee, put up a good fight, but the damage was done in the first round in Virginia. Hard luck girls.

Thank you to Concrawood Castleblayney Ladies Golf Club who were the hosts for this competition this year. We were delighted to qualify in all three catergories, and win two Hilton Shields. Lady Captain Patricia Hamill and your committee, the prizes were beautiful hand made lace baubles made locally Carrickmacross Lace Gallery.

Next year Mannan Castle hosts this competition.

Our overall winner this week has been playing some fine golf this season. Margaret Carroll carded a cracking score of 42pts with a fantastic back 9 of 23pts. Well done Margaret.

Louise Hanratty topped Division 1 with a solid 37pts off a handicap of 5. Angela McBride won Division 2 with a steady 36pts which included some mighty pars.
