Today I am showcase how far I have come with my business, in particular with my display. At our Christmas School Final, my product was finished and ready to go but my branding and display still needed work. Over the next few months until school closed, I transformed my stand and went to print with my poster and table cloth. Display and branding are as important as the product itself. Display Part 5: Next I would have setup a small side table, beside my horse & covered this table with the white cloth I had purchased with my logo printed on it. On this table, I would have displayed my Sála Síos products for viewing & for sale Kerry Student Enterprise Awards Student Enterprise Programme wazp.io Presentation Castleisland

Display Part 4: Next was to put on the equipment & accessories. I used my own horse saddle, stirrup straps, stirrups, bit & bridle. I used hair extensions as a horse tail! Presentation Castleisland Student Enterprise Programme Kerry Student Enterprise Awards

Display Part 3: The neck of the horse was by far, the most difficult part. I decided to go down the environmental route and make the neck from recycled styrofoam, from local electrical stores in Castleisland. I used a hot glue gun to stick the various pieces together and when it was dry, I carved out the shape of the neck using a hand saw. Finally, I covered the neck in brown material to match the skin colour as best I could and attached it to the body of the horse with straps. Display Part 2: I ordered a horse head mask on amazon, that was as close as possible to the colour of the pommel horse body and that looked as life-like as possible. Tomorrow I will showcase how I made the neck to attach this mask to. Kerry Student Enterprise Awards Student Enterprise Programme Presentation Castleisland wazp.io

Display Part 1: I wanted to demonstrate my product on a real size horse. Unfortunately a real horse isn't allowed. I had to use the resources available. Our PE hall had a pommel horse that would fit the profile of the body of a horse, in terms of shape & colour. My National Final Stand! 📸 This is what my display would have looked like at the National Final in Croke Park, last Friday. Thankfully, social media allows me the opportunity to demonstrate it. I will be going through the various aspects of my display over the next few days. Today, I leave you with the full setup. My product is interchangeable with the existing base on a stirrup - clip out the existing base & clip in my product. Sála Síos is a training aid that improves balance & develops the correct foot position while riding - heels down & toes up!
