There was plenty of creativity in midfield from Jamie G, Rian, Alex T, Alex O’C, and John, with all boys working tirelessly both going forward and helping out defensively.
Up front, David Geaney delivered a Man of the Match performance, continuing his excellent goalscoring form with two superb goals. It was a tough outing for the boys today away to a strong, clinical Camp A side on a bumpy, uneven pitch that took some getting used to.
Despite the scoreline, the boys showed incredible spirit, determination, and work rate from the first whistle to the last.
First Half
Castleisland dug in deep from the opening whistle, defending heroically against sustained pressure.
Kalin Georgiev was exceptional in goal early on, making a string of vital saves to keep Camp at bay, while Jake O'Connell put in a massive defensive shift, including a brilliant clearance off the line.

Second Half
Camp started the second half on the front foot, extending their lead early on with a goal from a quality cross into the box. Kalin was again under constant pressure, producing save after save to keep the score down.
Castleisland never put their heads down and created some great chances of their own in response:
Jake struck a fine effort from distance, forcing a good save and a corner.
Killian Boyle broke through on a 1-on-1 chance, but the Camp keeper made a top-class save, before heroically denying Killian's follow-up attempt as well.
Dylan forced another corner with a powerful strike on target.
