💜💛 💙🩷💚 KERRY CAMOGIE DIVISION 2 MINOR FINAL 💜💛💙🩷💚

Last night saw our Sliabh Luachra girls, amalgamated with Abbeykillix, take on Causeway in the Division 2 Minor Camogie Final.

Our girls played their absolute hearts out, but unfortunately Causeway were the stronger side on the evening and came away with a well-deserved victory. Congratulations to the Causeway players, management and parents on a fantastic win.

To everyone at Abbeykillix, we want to say a very heartfelt thank you. Amalgamating with another club isn’t always easy, particularly when our girls had faced Abbeykillix in a final only a few weeks previously. From the very beginning, however, our girls were welcomed into Monday night training and made to feel genuinely part of the team.

That is a real testament to the Abbeykillix players and management. Thank you for welcoming our girls, looking after them and giving them the opportunity to continue playing and competing at this level. 💜

A huge thank you also to Firies for once again allowing us the use of their pitch. As a club, our goal is to someday have a pitch of our own, but until then we are incredibly grateful for the generosity of clubs like Firies who continue to open their facilities to us.

And finally, thank you to everyone who came out to support the girls last night. It is so important that our young players see people standing on the sidelines supporting them and encouraging them to continue their journey in sport.

Congratulations again to Causeway — enjoy the celebrations! 👏

As for our girls, heads held high. Hopefully next year we’ll be bringing that shield back with us. 💜💛💙🩷💚

Keep showing up. Keep supporting our girls. Keep supporting women in sport.

Tomorrow evening, our Minor team, amalgamated withAbbeykillix Camogie Club, take on Causeway Camogie Club in the Division 2 Minor Final in Firies — and we are asking you to come out and support them.

This has been an incredibly difficult week for women’s sport in Ireland. At a time like this, showing up matters.

These girls have put their blood, sweat and tears into their sport. They train, compete, commit and continue to show up for their clubs and their teammates. Now it is our turn to show up for them.

Come out for our daughters, our sisters, our mothers, our aunties and our nieces. Come out for the girls playing for Slíabh Luachra/Abbeykilix, the girls playing for Causeway, and for every young girl watching and wondering what her future in sport might look like.

This is bigger than one club and bigger than one final. We need to continue to promote women in sport, lift women in sport up and show our young girls that their sport matters. Kerry Camogie Munster CamogieCamogie

💜💛Munster 7’s Competition

A huge congratulations to our girls on a fantastic performance at the Munster 7’s competition

The team played with tremendous skill, determination and heart throughout the day,

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of the girls.

A special thank you to the girls Killarney Camogie Club who joined forces with us. As always, they were a fantastic addition to the team, and we were delighted to play alongside them. They brought great energy, skill and commitment, and partnerships like these are so valuable for the continued development of both clubs.

The experience gained yesterday will stand to the girls, and we have no doubt they will head into the championship as a stronger, more confident and well-prepared side.

Well done to all the players, coaches 💜💛
