This month, we're celebrating progress at every level, and nothing shows our club's journey better than this: our dedicated Beginner Program judoka have not only earned their Orange Belts, but have now officially joined our Senior Group!

A massive congratulations to Gleb, Grace, Éabha, and Stephen on this huge milestone. Your hard work has paid off, and we're thrilled to have you training with the senior squad.

Alongside them, our Artur achieved his yellow belt! From building confidence to honing complex technique, the Fudoshin spirit is thriving at every level.

We're also celebrating our U9 and U15 judoka who have all successfully passed their gradings, showcasing amazing skill and spirit.

Congratulations to all Fudoshin players who competed and Coaches Anthony and Steven! A special congratulations to our players of the day, Arthur Petinas who won his first National’s medal, bringing home the gold in the most competitive minors category, and to Auste who defended her Junior National title and won her first Senior All Ireland’s medal, adding the Seniors gold to her collection.

This championship wraps up an exciting year with many emerging Fudoshin Judokas. We have no doubt that with continued effort, dedication and skills, there will be many more fantastic performances from our team moving forward. The Coaching team is proud of our Judokas and encourages them to keep moving forward and showing up.

In November, our Fudoshin fighter Auste went abroad twice and captured silver at the Lithuanian Senior National Championships!

Huge congratulations to Auste! She fought through 2 earlier rounds to get to the final and win a silver medal, fighting in this tournament as a Cadet against Senior women! Auste also had a great performance in Greece, triumphing in her first fight with an ippon and yuko, however narrowly losing by shidos in her second contest. This ends her international tour for this year where she now prepares for the All Ireland’s next week!

In October, our elite Fudoshin judoka scrapped abroad in two different places on the same weekend! Ciaran and Richard travelled to the NHC Open and Auste to the Riga Cadet European Cup. Richard brought home a bronze medal, Auste narrowly avoiding the podium after showing excellent judo and Ciaran throwing and fighting with grit and determination.
