Happy birthday Big Man Basketball Academy! 🥳

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the past year. Since launching, we’ve welcomed over 200 kids to our academy and hope to welcome many more.

Whether your child has come to one session or more, we truly appreciate your support!

Massive thank you to David, Theresa, Daniel, Joy, Louis and George for helping us and making the kids experience a fun one.

We would love for you to join us this coming Sunday for a party to celebrate our year anniversary, whether your child attended one session or more we would love to see them Sunday morning 🥳

We are donating the €5 entry free to the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation if anyone would like to donate. All proceeds will be donated and presented to our new local Jack and Jill Charity Shop in Ennis 💜

It’s a Rap 👻

Thanks to everyone who showed out for our camp 🏀
Especially our coaches Sabhbh Edwards Murphy Rap Buivydas and Ella.

Huge thanks to our local supplier Boru Sports in Ennis for the T shirts this year, it’s great to support local.

Lastly, thank you to all the parents and guardians who continue to support Big Man Basketball in Clare- it’s fantastic to see and get to know the kids year on year and to witness them improve 💯

Until next time 🫡

Another successful academy block in the books ✅

A huge shout out to Katie who is the real reason BigManBasketball Academy has become what it is today. Running academy one week after giving birth is typical of Katie’s dedication. Our baby Úna sleeping in the background to the sound of basketballs while our son Ivar looks forward to academy and seeing the kiddos every week is GOALS❤️🏀

Thanks again to everyone who supported our academy, we will see you all after the bank holiday weekend 💪

A huge welcome to Ennis for one of Irelands most talented young stars Rap Buivydas ⭐️

Rap Buivydas comes to Clare with a wealth of experience at such a young age, having won back to back Young Superleague Player of the Year awards in 23/24 and 24/25 season.

Rap played his college basketball Assumption University in the United States and currently plays for Belfast Star in the Irish superleague.

Most recently, Rap represented Ireland in the FIBA EuroBasket 2029 Pre-Qualifiers for the senior men 🇮🇪

Join us in welcoming Rap to the Banner! We’re counting down the days for camp 🏀

Welcome back to the Banner Sabhbh! 🏀

We’re thrilled to announce Clare native Sabhbh Edwards Murphy will be joining us for our annual summer camp next month! 🔥

Sabhbh recently captained Limerick Celtics to win the 2025-2026 Women’s National League in April, securing promotion to the superleague. Sabhbh also represented Ireland in the FIBA U23 3x3 last summer aswell.

Aside from an impressive basketball CV, the Kilrush native attended Akron University in 2022 and graduated from the University of Limerick this year📚

It’s great to have Sabhbh locked in for summer camp, to share her insights and tips from her career to date with our campers in her home county Clare!

Camp spaces remain available, contact Katie on Big Man Basketball WhatsApp to secure a space- 0832028430

See you next month 🏀
