The 2016 Run Forest Run will take place on Sunday, September 18th at 12 noon.

Following the great success of last year's event, the 5 mile multi-terrain run returns. Starting at Galleyflash Rowing Club's boathouse in Kilkern Lake, the run will follow the path of the Lake Walk to Rathbarry and will then move onto Castlefreke Woods with sections of road running, an off-road path and beach running on Long Strand all making an appearance. See map attached for further details.
Entry for this multi-terrain race is €10.

Also making a return is the traditional 5km walk route. Starting at Galleyflash Rowing Club's boathouse at Kilkern Lake, the route follows the coastal road near Long Strand towards Galley Head turning left over on this road heading towards our sponsors at Fishers Cross, then left again towards another sponsors John Hayes Tractor Sales before heading back to Kilkern Lake. Map of the 5km walk route is also attached.
Entry for walkers of this 5km route is €5.

Registration opens at 11am on the morning of September 18th at Galleyflash Rowing Club's boathouse at Kilkern Lake.
