🚴♂️ Best of luck to the Cashel crew! 🚴♀️
We want to wish the absolute best of luck to everyone from The Rock Pedallers - Cycling Club Cashel as they head off on their massive Malin to Mizen cycle this week!
The group is tackling the length of the country (640km) in memory of their friend and club member, Noreen Walsh, with all funds raised going directly to Cancer Research at the Cork University Foundation.
From all of us here at Clonmel Cycling Club we wish you tailwinds and safe roads the whole way down the country. 💨
If you have a few bob to spare, please consider giving what you can through the link in the comments below to help them out :👇👇👇👇

🚲 What a weekend for the Clonmel crew up in Mayo! 🙌
Fair play to our three members who made the long trip up to Mayo for the Westportif on Saturday 25th July.
A great effort all round on some tough roads with a few challenging climbs:
🟥Moira completed the full 120km route.
🟩Michael & Nicola put in a solid effort on the 75km loop.
🌧️The wind and rain were a serious shock to the system, especially since we haven't seen a drop of water down here in over a month!
It was a long journey but the Clonmel contingent must have brought the West good luck for the All-Ireland on Sunday.🏆
Well done to the three of them for representing the club 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Important Announcement:
We, along with co-hosts Carrick Wheelers Cycling Club The Cycologist have made the difficult decision regarding the conclusion of our cycling league season.
Due to the ongoing fires in our local area, we have made the decision to call off the remaining night and finish the league prior to the final.
Safety is, and always will be, our top priority. Beyond physical safety, this decision is out of respect for our local community, which has endured an exceptionally challenging number days. Bringing additional traffic and event logistics into the area at this time simply feels inappropriate while our community recovers.
Please know that this was not a decision made lightly. We explored every possible alternative—including route changes, rescheduled dates, —but ultimately, none proved viable.
While this is certainly not the ideal way to wrap up the season, we want to extend our deepest gratitude to:
Our Riders: Thank you for turning up week after week, bringing fantastic energy and competitive spirit to every race.
Our Volunteers: This league could not run without your tireless work behind the scenes and along the courses.
Our Supporters & Sponsors: Thank you for cheering on our cyclists and backing our vision every step of the way.
What's Next?
We still want to celebrate everyone's hard work! We plan to host a presentation evening soon to officially honor our winners and runners-up. Everyone is invited to come along, —we might even hand out a few extra cans of Coke for the occasion!
Details on the date and venue will follow shortly.
Though this season ends earlier than planned, we are already looking ahead. We will be back in 2027—bigger, better, and stronger than ever.

Yoga for cyclists is back for another month, starting our final block tonight at 7pm with Danny! 🚴♂️🧘♂️
Classes will vary between indoors or outdoors depending on the weather. ☀️🌧️
This has been one of our most successful club initiatives, doing wonders for everyone's flexibility, mindset, and fitness on the bike.
Just a heads-up that we will then be taking the month of August off.

😎Great to see a strong Clonmel presence down at the Kilbehenny Sportive on Sunday. Sun was shining, legs were turning, and the tea and sandwiches after tasted sweet. Well done to everyone who lined out for a top event!
