If some clubs in your bag feel easy to hit and others don’t, it may not be your swing.

That is an important part of custom fitting: lighter isn’t automatically better. The correct weight is the one that allows the golfer to feel and deliver the club consistently.

This golfer wanted to know “Why can’t I hit my irons like I hit my fairway woods?”
He loved his fairway woods and hybrids, but his iron play was inconsistent. When we measured the clubs, the reason started to appear.

His woods and hybrids had lightweight graphite shafts. His irons were 3/4" longer, fitted with heavy, stiff steel shafts and measured at a very heavy D7 swing weight.

The balance and feel changed completely as soon as he moved from one part of the set to another.
