Yup, been holding onto this for a while now, around 12 weeks ago I was approached with an opportunityโฆ
And Iโve decided to take it.
On the 26th on May I will be leaving Ireland to go live in California to take a job in management & marketing ๐บ๐ธ
My biggest fear was that this would effect my coaching business but over Covid I built online systems and I am going fully online and continuing working with my clients from the US ๐ป
10 days till I goโฆ
I have a few things to wrap up her before I go but Iโm delighted to share my next chapter with you all.

PT Client Dave | Ben Nevis โ๏ธ
Great photo of my client Dave who climbed the highest mountain in Great Britain & Ireland over the bank holiday weekend!
Dave wrote a little testimonial to go with the photo:
โThis weekend I went on and climbed Ben Nevis with some friends, Iโve been into mountaineering all my life and have been on many tripsโฆ
Although this trip was a lot more enjoyable as my fitness was much betterโฆ
I started training with Mark just after the lockdowns and Iโve noticed that with the 2 PTโs a week my fitness has come on leaps & bounds!
I didnโt think that going into the gym and doing a few squats and push ups would make me stronger and fitter for mountaineering!

KT | Half marathon โ
Big shoutout to online coaching client who completed her first half marathon in the Regeneron Great Limerick Run 2022 today!
Iโve been working with Katie for the past few months now and this lady has been an absolute pleasure to coach.
When I started working with Katie we came up with 3 goals and set out a road map as to how to achieve these goals.
One goal was to build overall strength, although this goal was related to CrossFit and the gym, for Katie to go out and complete her first ever half marathon, in a very impressive time of 2.05, this shows the strength she has built over the last few months.
Building strength as I explained to Katie takes times & effort. The sum of many small actions help build a person.
With each day we learn and improve, even when it doesnโt feel like it, if you put the time and effort in you will be successful.
And that is exactly what Katie has done.
Mission accomplished today but plenty more to do and achieve with this amazing lady!

Iโm too tired.
Iโm too busy.
Iโm not able.
Why are you tired? Why are you too busy? Why are you not able. Answer those questions.
Then think if your not looking after your own physical and mental health then what are you doing?
I see a lot of people tell me why they canโt do certain thingsโฆ people put so much other things ahead of themselves.
Eventually these people will realise that if they were fitter, healthier, happier they could handle the rest of there lives better.
Unfortunately some people will always have an excuseโฆ itโs your choice. Those who choose to come work with me I promise you one thingโฆ
I will help you achieve whatever it is you want to achieve.

A common goal people have is weight loss.
โฆ and all of you know a calorie deficit is how you achieve weight lossโฆ (I hope you knew that ๐)
A common theme I found is people go set themselves a calorie goal that is actually far too low for to sustain or actually keep to.
Iโve seen people on 1200 - 1500 calories per day (and yes in some cases this may be a correct calorie goal) who are not losing weightโฆ
๐๐ป Why is that?
Well thereโs two different reasonsโฆ
1๏ธโฃ They donโt actually stick to this goal.
People who set these low calorie goal often canโt actually sustain this goal.
They find themselves picking at food which actually drives there calories up or they have that โfeck thisโ moment and indulge on a big meal or meals (typically the weekend).
2๏ธโฃ Theyโre not fuelling there bodies enough.
So look at it this wayโฆ you had set yourself a calorie goal of 1500 calories but I put you on 1800 calories to achieve weight loss.
Why?
๐๐ป Those 300 calories will give you energy to push more in your workouts so that your training is better.
๐๐ป Those 300 calories give you more energy to get up and go move more.
๐๐ป These 300 calories improve your sleep quality and overall recovery.
๐๐ป So because of those 300 calories extra you actually achieve your goal of weight loss. Through eating more foodโฆ
Mad isnโt it ๐คฃ
So yeah maybe youโre setting your calorie too low or maybe youโre not eating enough to fuel your body.
