Retrofitting Your Home: A Public Information Meeting
Bantry Credit Union is inviting you to a public information meeting on “Retrofitting your Home” at the Maritime Hotel, Bantry, on Friday, 5 May between 7.00pm and 10.00pm. Our guest speaker Colm Tynan has over 20 years’ experience as an engineer and college lecturer in Sustainable Energy Engineering. There will be a Q&A session with Colm, and this will be followed by a panel discussion featuring local providers and practitioners of Sustainable Energy solutions. We will also have a range of local businesses exhibiting before and after the meeting where you can learn about the options available to you at a local level.
Research shows that one of the biggest barriers to people doing Retrofit works on their homes is confusion. Where should I start? Who should I contact? What grants are available? We will answer these and many more questions on the night.
To get people into the spirit of things, the credit union is running a Sustainable Energy raffle on the night. First prize is a free BER Assessment. To be in with a chance of winning this prize, you must register in advance to attend the event and you must attend on the night.
