THANK YOU, JOSH & TORI! ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บโ˜˜๏ธ

โ€‹This week we said goodbye to our 2026 overseas player, Josh Hartill, and his partner Tori, as they begin their journey back home to Tasmania following an outstanding summer at the Mardyke.

โ€‹Josh made an immediate impact both on and off the pitch. With the bat, he was a pivotal anchor in our Leinster campaign, delivering several match-winning innings. These were headlined by a sensational 133 away to Rush, alongside crucial half-centuries against Phoenix (76*), Merrion (66), and Pembroke (65).

โ€‹His overall Leinster league return was 551 runs at an average of 39.35 (1 x 100, 3 x 50s). โ€‹High score: 133 vs Rush (A)

โ€‹Beyond his contributions with the bat and gloves, Josh threw himself into club life through his coaching across our adult and youth sides. Just as importantly, Tori was an ever-present supporter on the sidelines all summer and quickly became part of the furniture around the club.

โ€‹Following a fantastic win on the road against North County last weekend to confirm our top-flight status for 2027, the lads have the chance to sign off the 2026 campaign in style against a fine Phoenix side.

โ€‹Tomorrow also marks the final appearance of the summer for our overseas player Josh Hartill. Josh has been an outstanding addition to the club and a hugely popular figure with teammates and supporters alike both on and off the field.

Congratulations to our own Sid Joshi, who was capped today for the Ireland Over 40s in their clash against England Over 40s at Rathmines! ๐Ÿ

โ€‹Sid joins clubmate Ross Durity in representing Ireland at Over 40s international level.

โ€‹It was a proper nail-biter in Dublin. Sid delivered a tidy spell with the ball, picking up 1/23 from his 6 overs to remove Stuart Burrows as England posted 275/7. In response, a magnificent 138 from Nigel Jones brought Ireland to the brink, with the match coming down to the very final delivery before England edged it by just a single run (274/8).
