⚽ What a fantastic weekend!

It was a pleasure to host .Ireland for their annual charity Football Tournament once again at Carrigtwohill All Weather Pitch.

Thank you to everyone involved for another well-organised event that brought people together through football and community spirit.

The Pro Academy Birthday Experience

More than a Party .. It's an experience ⚽️🎉

🌟 We were delighted to welcome Horizons Cork Cope Foundation to Carrigtwohill All Weather Pitch for their recent Sports Day.

It was a fantastic day filled with sport, music, ice cream and plenty of smiles, with everyone taking part and enjoying the activities.

Congratulations to all the participants on their wonderful efforts, and to the recipient of the Sportsperson of the Day award. 🏅🏆

It was a pleasure to present the medals at the end of such a positive and enjoyable event.

Thank you to Luke , Janet and everyone at Horizons Cork – Cope Foundation for choosing our facility. We hope to welcome you all back again soon! ⚽💙

🐝 A swarm of Visitors! 🐝

Yesterday we discovered a large swarm of honey bees resting in a tree beside our All Weather Pitch. Thanks to the local lady who brought this to our attention!

As the swarm was close to our playground and sports facility, our priority was to ensure everyone’s safety while also protecting the bees. We contacted the Co. Cork Beekeepers’ Association, who kindly offered their assistance in relocating the swarm.

Before arrangements could be made, nature took its course! 🐝 The bees had already found a new home and moved on safely by themselves.

A big thank you to the Co. Cork Beekeepers’ Association , https://cocorkbka.org and Swarms.ie for their prompt response and advice.

It’s a great reminder that honey bee swarms are often temporary and play an important role in our environment. If you ever come across one, it’s best to keep a safe distance and contact your local beekeepers rather than disturb them.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding while we monitored the situation.
