RNLI congratulates Paddle 4 Life team | The Southern Star Union Hall RNLI congratulated the successful Paddle 4 Life team of Anaïs O’Donovan, Simon Champ, Ciaran Usher, and Andy Jeffers, who undertook a number of challenges over the last two years on behalf of the eight lifeboat stations in Cork.

Join us on Saturday, the 13th of July for a night time circumnavigation of Cork City. Crosshaven RNLI lifeboat will meet us at the Port of Cork which is an incredible opportunity to see their boats up close and gain insight on what work they carry out.

This free event is in aid of the RNLI and it will take approximately 3 hours from 9pm to midnight. Open to SUP boarders, kayakers and canoers. For more information or to register you can click the link below.

Last year we kayaked for 24 hours and raised over €10,000 for the RNLI. This year we are attempting to kayak 10,780km which is 10km for every Irish RNLI lifeboat that was launched in 2021. The RNLI is a phenomenal charity and their volunteers risk their lives to save ours. If the worst happens when we are kayaking then the RNLI will be the first to respond. We are lucky to have so many incredible, lifesaving volunteers in each station.
