Weekend Results
Lovely crowd Saturday, Sun shining like a Summer Day. John Dineen and Tim Murphy had a great score with 52 points to take the nett. Billy Fitton and Pat Moore were gross winners with 4 under. Paul Higgins and Deirdre O'Sullivan took second nett with 50 points
Sunday another good showing with Deirdre O'Sullivan and Teresa Higgins bagging the nett with 37 while Bart Millard took second nett with Margaret Burke with a score of 38 and a half. Mark Spillane and Noel McCarthy pipped Rob and John Spillane for the gross with 6 with a better back nine leaving them to collect second gross.
Normal fourballs next Saturday and Sunday and the midweek Wednesday Fourball at 3pm
All welcome, great way to meet new people,, a little exercise and a bit of fun with a cuppa after and a 🍪

A big Thank You to Tesco in Ballincollig for selecting Lakewood Pitch and Putt Club as one of its three organisations to support for the Community Fund. Members are asked to support the Club when shopping in Tesco and make sure to put the Blue Tokens into the Lakewood Slot. Since its launch Tesco has supported over 27000 organisations with over €10m in funding

Hi All
Congratulations to the Lady Captain, Geraldine Spillane for organising this year's annual outing to Brinny and the meal afterwards in McCarthy's Tennis Village
Twenty one played in the morning three ball scramble. The course was fairly challenging, some hill walking and some long shots with some tricky greens to navigate. Donnacha Fitton, Mick O'Leary and John Spillane took second gross while Rick O'Mahony, Pat Moore and Mark Spillane took 1st Gross.
Dermot Murphy, Alan Kenneally and Paddy Dennehy were winners of the 2nd Nett while Con O'Sullivan, Billy Fitton and Sheila O'Leary took the 1st Nett.
The afternoon fourball saw a few dropouts but nineteen played. Pat Conway anchoring Bart Millard and, Rick O'Mahony took second gross and second nett. Mick O'Leary and Mark Spillane were gross winners while Donnacha Fitton and Pat Moore took the nett.
A special prize was drawn which went to Dermot and Sheila.
Geraldine arranged a quiz between courses which was won by Team Billy and Donnacha Fitton and Bart Millard.
A big thank you to Brinny for the hospitality and the box of goodies for the morning cuppa
Lovely to see Catherine O'Keefe and Mary Donovan put in an appearance in Brinny and to see Catherine and Pat in McCarthys afterwards.

Well done to everyone who played in the recent Captain's Prizes and in particular to the Winners, Valerie O'Leary who won the Geraldine Spillane's Ladies Captain Prize with a magnificent score of 85pts and Darren O'Leary who won John Dineen's Gents Captains Prize with a Super Score of 91pts beating Brian Virgo on the back nines.
Also to Deirdre O'Sullivan , Ladies Nett, Teresa Higgins, 2nd Nett, Betty White Gross and Sheila O'Leary 2nd Gross.
David O'Leary Gents Gross, Mick O'Leary 2nd Gross, Brian Virgo, Nett and David O'Neill 2nd Nett.
Well done to the Captains, to the grounds crew who made sure that the course was in prime condition and to Mick who watered the greens religously. Also a special word to David O'Leary who gave his time to make sure all the scores were checked and uploaded to the PPI website. Well done to Geraldine who looked after the catering and made sure everyone was hydrated.
