Is your child ready to go from a swimmer to a lifesaver? We are holding assessment days for our Rookie Lifeguard Program, and spots are filling up fast!

❓What is Rookie Lifeguard?
Based on the Royal Lifesaving Society program for kids aged 8–12, Rookie Lifeguard teaches essential water safety, rescue, and resuscitation skills so children can look out for themselves, their family, and their friends.

If your child can swim and is ready to build incredible lifelong skills, we want to see them at our upcoming assessment days:

Passing the assessment unlocks the full journey through our Bronze, Silver, and Gold levels—and opens the door to advanced qualifications here in Cork like the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification down the line!

We are running two RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) courses at LeisureWorld Bishopstown! The NPLQ is the most awarded lifeguard qualification in the UK and Ireland and is internationally recognised.

📅 Choose Your Dates:
☀️ Option 1 (Summer): August 18th – 22nd, 2026
🍂 Option 2 (Midterm): October 27th – 31st, 2026

🕒 Course Details:

⏰ Time: 9:00am – 6:00pm each day

🎂 Age: 16 years and over (on the first day of the course)

🏊‍♂️ Prerequisites:
Before booking, make sure you can:
⏱️ Swim 50 meters in less than 60 seconds.
🏊‍♂️ Swim 100 meters continuously on your front and back.
⏳ Tread water in deep water for 30 seconds.
🤿 Surface dive to the deepest part of our pool.
